Our educational leaders have not once truly reflected on what their ultimate objective was, or where the path they are following is actually leading. From the very beginning, the circumstances have shown that this institution is neither functioning in the manner an Islamic educational institution should, nor is it producing the desired outcomes.
There is no real difference between the students of this university and those of a typical government university. The Islamic character, Islamic spirit, and Islamic way of conduct are entirely absent. Islamic thinking and mentality are nowhere to be found.
Perhaps not even one percent of its students graduate with a Muslim worldview or with a clear Islamic purpose in life. Very few leave equipped with such intellectual and academic training that they could use their knowledge and reasoning to breathe new life into the Muslim Ummah—or at the very least, make some notable intellectual or practical contribution to their community.
Even if the outcomes had been merely neutral, that might have been somewhat tolerable. But sadly, a significant portion of both current students and graduates are not just unhelpful to Islamic civilization and the Muslim community—they are actually harmful.
